The Temple of God

How do we remember who we are?
By calling the truth within us, using words that echo that truth, and then feel the awareness of our true being gently emerge as a presence in our heart.

I've added two verses to this familiar practice of remembrance, each one calling deeper to the truth of our being.  Speaking or singing these simple words, feeling the truth of each verse, is a most powerful Zikr Practice.

This is not my body, this is the temple of God;
This is not my heart, this is the alter of God.

This is not my body, this is the alter of God;
This is not my heart, this is the chalice of God.

This is not my body, this is the chalice of God;
This is not my heart, this is the presence of God.
