White Tara

White Tara is a female Bodhisattva who embodies the motivation of Compassion, being known as Compassionate Mother of Long Life. Her blessing, to those who ask her, will bestow long life, good fortune, and wisdom. It is said "living beings receive Tara blessings as swiftly as the wind moves because she is the manifestation of the wind element of all Buddhas." White Tara gives to us so that we might give to the world. By thinking like this, we can solve our problems, experience a peaceful, happy mind all the time, and become a source of inspiration for everyone we meet.

White Tara Mantra
Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Mama Ayuḥ Punya Jñānā Puṣtiṃ Kuru Svāhā

Mama - mine, means that I would like to possess the following qualities
Ayuh - long life
Punya - merit that comes form living life ethically. [in Tibetan: pune]
Jnana - wisdom [in Tibetan: gyana]
Pushtim - increase [in Tibetan: puntin]
Kuru - do so! do it now!
Svaha - hail, or may blessings be upon [in Tibetan: soha]

It’s not a goal you can achieve - the more you try the more it fly's. It’s not something you can buy or own - the more you pay the less you get. They can be anyone, anywhere, at any time - you won't often recognize them; When they speak, you don't much hear the words "I, Me, Mine";  They do not put themselves 'on a pedestal' - and shy away from self-assertion and they will  not  announce themselves !   They are not distinguished by mysterious looks or books, expositions of mystical doctrine,
